Biography
Kirita Oka
I was born and raised in Osaka, Japan, and therefore have been surrounded by the beauty and tradition of one of the most fascinating and ancient cultures in the world. From the vibrant city streets of downtown Osaka to the tranquil shrines in the forests of the Japanese countryside, there has been no shortage of content for me to capture with my lens. Equipped with an Olympus camera, I have been photographing the unique beauty Japan has to offer, fueling my passion and eye for photography.
Over time, my photography journey has expanded from Japan into other parts of Asia, eventually bringing me to the cultural melting pot of Malaysia. It was here that I was introduced to scuba diving. Suddenly, I found that I was no longer limited to scenery on land but was exposed to a whole new world for me to explore beneath the ocean. Over the course of six months, I spent nearly every day in the sea surrounding Tioman Island, developing a keen eye for the hidden mysteries waiting underwater. My time in Malaysia offered my first professional experience in photography and videography, which inspired me to take my passion from hobby to career.
I have set my sights on the United States and have relocated to St. Augustine, Florida. Ignited by my dream to share my love of nature with the world, I am excited to explore an entire new region and am eager to see what I will capture next.
